Girl's Rooms - Use A Princess Theme
Creating the perfect bedroom
for your little princess is not as complicated
as it may seem. The stores are filled with
bedding, throw pillows, and rugs that can
transform an average room into a palatial
haven befitting royalty.
Sheer materials and fancy details accompanied
by blue-sky murals and walls embellished
with castles and streams will make your
daughter feel as if she is surrounded by
luxury and the finer things in life.
A princess room will naturally be heavily
accented by pink and ivory in varying shades.
Paint walls and ceilings accordingly and
try stencils to create flowered details
around windows and trim.
Stuffed animals and treasures can be incorporated
into a princess room very easily. As a princess,
your daughter can choose the types of decorations
she desires and have them arranged in a
manner that fits her unique personality.
Purchase or refurbish dressers and chests
with white or pink paint and use throw rugs
of varying shades of pink. Sheer curtains
with pink or while mini blinds will make
lovely princess window treatments. Bedding
is a major detail not to be overlooked.
If you can afford a canopy bed, by all means
get one. If not, fluffy pillows combined
with softly colored comforters and sheets
will turn your existing bed into a bed fit
for a princess.
You could try a table in one corner with
a lace tablecloth and a play tea set or
a pink treasure chest filled with favorite
toys and stuffed animals.
It is really quite easy to decorate a girl's
room in a princess theme. Remember to use
pinks and white, stenciled flowers, stars,
and clouds, and fluffy bedding will give
the room the feel of luxury and will also
be easy to update once your little princess
grows into a young lady.
